We are endeavouring to follow Christ and the pattern of church truth in the New Testament, sharing the gospel message of God’s salvation and encouraging believers on the path of faith.

Seeking to follow the great commission;

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. About Us

We are a group of Christians who are seeking to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and the teachings of the scriptures both in our personal lives and as a collected company while we await His return.

Who We Are

We are Christians who gather in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Matthew 18 v20 

‘For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them’

We seek to be subject to the authority of Christ our Lord and to do all things He has commanded us in the Scriptures.

We practise the divine church order as indicated
in Acts 2 vs 41-42. 

‘Then they that gladly received His word were baptised … were added …  and they continued steadfastly in the Apostle’s doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread and in prayers.’

Our Values

The implementation of New Testament truth in a practical way so that we have Christ like care for the believers in the fellowship of the assembly and a desire to share the gospel with others.

  • The Bible to be the inspired Word of God and the sole authority for our doctrine and practice 2 Timothy 3 vs16-17
  • The Trinity of the Godhead. Ephesians 4 vs4-6, Matthew 28 v19, 2 Corinthians 13 v14.
  • The Personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4 v30. Acts 5 v3
  • The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Timothy 3 v16, John 1 v1, Romans 9 v5, Heb. 1 v8
  • The Creation and fall of man. Genesis chapter 1 v27, Genesis chapter 3 vs1-24.
  • The Life, Death, Burial, Resurrection, and Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, and His Exaltation at God’s right hand 1 Corinthians 15 vs3-4. Acts 5 v31
  • Christ died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins. 1 Corinthians 15 v3
  • The Necessity of the New Birth for Salvation. John 3 vs3, 16
  • The Maintenance of Good Works by all professing Christians. James 2 v17
  • The Resurrection of the Body. Matthew 22 v30, 1 Corinthians chapter 15
  • The Judgement of the living and the dead by the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 17 v31, John 5 vs22-23

Sunday: Lord’s Supper 10:30am – 11:45am
Gospel Meeting: 1:00pm
Tuesday Evening: 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Our Assembly History

Christians were gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in the South Brisbane area in various buildings until they built the existing hall in January 1905.
